Good news for students!!
As part of my PhD study, I am using software where I need Intel Fortran Compiler to compile (install) the source code. I’ve been using this for quite a while (2-3 years) until I write this post. Without further ado, let me show you where and how to get it, briefly.
- Where can you get it? https://software.intel.com/en-us/qualify-for-free-software/student
- Choose the suitable “Intel Paralel Studio XE” according to your OS.
- Check all the boxes (IF you are really a student). For educator, go to: https://software.intel.com/en-us/qualify-for-free-software/educator
- Click accept
- Register with your University E-mail address.
- There you go, check your inbox, and you’ll get the serial number and the download link.
- Download, and install the software. The license is valid for one year.
After one year, your license will be void and you’ll have to renew it by logging in to your account (intel account) to get a new serial number. You do not have to re-install it though.
How? Run the “Intel Software Manager” from your start menu, go to “Licenses” tab, click the “Add serial number” in the right corner and put your new serial number. See the picture bellow.
Good luck!
